IRELAND-SUCK LAMBS MAKING 550c/KG EUROS.

Spring lamb prices of 550c/kg are being quoted by plants this week as the first of the new season stock comes on stream.

While supplies remain tight, factories in the south are reported to be on a base of 550c/kg, with up to 30c/kg more being paid in some instances.

A quote of 550c/kg gives a return to farmers of €105/hd, with up to €110/hd available at 580c/kg.
