Jim Boynton dies at 88
Canadian farmers lost a strong advocate Thursday with the death of former National Farm Products Marketing Council vice-chairman Jim Boynton of Chesley.
Mr. Boynton, 88, had been diagnosed last winter with lymphoma and received treatment which appeared to relieve the condition. He died following a reoccurrence of symptoms in September, his wife Ina said in an interview Friday.
A funeral is to be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John's United Church in Chesley. Visitation is planned between 6 and 9 p.m. Sunday, at Cameron Funeral Home in Chesley.
