Last Chance for Dairy Funding

Dairy Collect – the Objective One delegated grant scheme run by Cornwall Enterprise – has announced that a pot of grant funding remains available for new projects.

The Dairy Collect Scheme is accessible to all Cornish dairy farmers and grants of up to 40% are available towards the cost of larger milk bulk tanks and associated works; access improvements which benefit milk tanker collection and investments to improve energy efficiency on dairy farms.

The Scheme has already allocated more than £2 million to farmers in the County.

The Scheme Manager Elizabeth Menmuir explains; "The Scheme has been successful in allocating the original funds to 185 projects but due to reduced management costs and some projects coming in at lower cost than originally expected we have some additional grant aid available to new projects; many of whom may have thought they had missed their chance. Projects will be dealt with on a first-come-first-served basis so I urge anyone who thinks they have a new project which may benefit from the Scheme to contact this office as soon as possible".
