Marginal growth from leading milk producers

The five leading global producers of milk (Argentina, Australia, US, New Zealand and the EU) saw their total volumes increase by <1% between January – April 2015, in comparison with the same period last year.

However there were variations across the countries.

Volumes in Australia increased by 4% to 2.9 million tonnes; a 2% increase in the US to 31.6 million tonnes (despite the recent drought in California); a 2% increase from New Zealand; and a 3% fall in Argentina.
