Keith Harlock, Prosper De Mulder's senior manager at its Widnes site has been awarded the MBE for outstanding services to the rendering industry. On hearing the news, Keith said, "I'm absolutely delighted, and totally surprised."
Keith joined PDM in 1972 as raw materials procurement manager. Following the introduction of the Over Thirty Months Scheme (OTMS) in 1996 he has worked tirelessly on behalf of the company in the provision of front line services to the UK Government, liaising closely with the Rural Payments Agency and DEFRA.
His dedication and commitment to his responsibilities were never more evident than during the Foot & Mouth Disease crisis in 2001. During that difficult and challenging year, his recognised organisational skills in the logistics field were drawn on by the Government, the industry and the company.
