Meadow Foods increases October milk price by 1ppl

Meadow Foods will increase its ‘A’ milk price by 1ppl to 30 pence per litre from October 2017.

This latest increase, for the 3rd consecutive month, follows the company’s increase of 0.85ppl from this month (making a total of 5.6ppl this year to date).

The company has also confirmed its ‘B’ Price for August at 35ppl and projects the range for September to be between 33ppl and 36ppl as the market shows signs of strengthening going into the autumn.

Executive Chairman at Meadow Foods, Simon Chantler, commenting on the increase said: “The market remains strong and this latest rise reflects our desire to pass on any additional increases to our producers as soon as we are able.

“We continue to watch the market closely and hope that its continued improvement will allow us to move our price further forward in due course.”
