Merial Animal Health has appointed Andrew Buglass as product manager, ruminant enterprise, for the UK and Ireland. He will be specifically responsible for Merial’s Oramec® Drench for sheep, Trodax®, Ivomec Classic® Injection, Panomec® Injection, and will also manage the ruminant enterprises web presence.
Andrew brings with him a wealth of experience in the animal health sector, having worked for Merial for nearly five years. He has worked his way through the ranks, having started as a territory representative in 1998 for south Scotland, and then promoted to territory manager the following year.
During each of the four full years that Andrew has worked for Merial he has exceeded his sales targets by a significant margin, and was nominated for the National Sales Awards 2002.
"Andrew joins the marketing team at an important time and he will have the opportunity to apply his particular skills and experiences in both existing and new market sectors," says Graham Davenport, Director Ruminant Business.
Andrew holds an honours degree in Agricultural Science from the University of Edinburgh, and is currently studying for a Masters in Business Administration.
In his spare time he enjoys trout and salmon fishing and playing golf.
