Mil-tek Direct has won the prestigious Gold Medal Award in the Agricultural Machinery Section of the Royal Cornwall Show.
The Award was presented to Mil-tek Direct's Steve Hillier in recognition of the contribution to the environment made by Mil-tek's balers. The judges were particularly impressed with the concept and design and the new energy efficient eco-drive system.
Mil-tek balers compact cardboard and plastic waste into dense bales ready for collection by recycling contractors. By using the Mil-tek system customers save on escalating landfill charges, save on the numbers of skips that they have to hire and benefit from much tidier premises. Mil-tek call this system 'environmonics'.
Mil-tek Direct's Steve Hiller was proud to accept the award. He says: "The judges recognised the contribution that the Mil-tek system makes in helping business to reduce the amount of waste they are sending to landfill. It's a simple and effective system – everyone should have one!"
