The Cheese Company, the UK's largest cheese manufacturer and part of Milk Link, has won an outstanding 10 awards at the Devon County Show, 15-17 May 2008.
Taw Valley Creamery was the show's most successful creamery winning an exceptional seven awards. The creamery's Mature Cheddar won three awards including gold in the Mature Cheddar class, gold for the first round of the Danisco Grand Prix and Reserve Best in Show. Gold awards were also won by Taw Valley's Double Gloucester and Red Leicester Cheeses, its Mild Cheddar won silver and bronze and its Churton branded cheese was awarded a bronze award
The Cheese Company's Lockerbie Creamery also had a successful show, with its Low-Fat cheese scooping silver and bronze awards. The Dumfriesshire-based creamery also took home fourth place for its Mild Cheddar.
