Milk Link, one of the UK's leading farmer owned dairy co-operatives, has secured listings of its popular The Devon Dairy and The Cornish Dairy brands of fresh milk with ASDA, reinforcing its position as a supplier of quality local products to local consumers. The deal also confirms ASDA's commitment to support the communities with which it trades. Both brands will be available in selected ASDA stores in the South West from Monday 19 September.
The Devon Dairy brand of fresh milk, produced at Milk Link's Newlands Farm (Okehampton) facility will be available at ASDA's Frome store. The Cornish Dairy brand, produced at Newlands Farm (Liskeard), will be available at ASDA's Bodmin store. Both will be sold in 2 pint and 4 pint bottles at 62 pence and £1.11 pence respectively.
Commenting on the deal, Andrew Morris, managing director, Newlands Farm, part of Milk Link, said: "Securing these two listings with ASDA stores in the South West is another welcome development for our fresh milk brands and further highlights consumer demand for high quality locally sourced products. We are delighted to be supplying both The Devon Dairy and The Cornish Dairy to ASDA and we are pleased to see ASDA is committed to supporting local business."
Andrew Ball, general store manager, ASDA, Frome, added: "It's great news for South West based co-op Milk Link, it's great news for ASDA and more importantly its great news for customers who will have the opportunity to enjoy high quality locally sourced products produced on their doorstep at our stores."
