New deputy director for NFU Cymru

Dylan Morgan has this week started his new post as the Deputy Director and Head of Policy for NFU Cymru. Dylan will replace Mary James who was recently promoted as the Director of the Union.

Dai Davies, President of NFU Cymru said, "I am absolutely delighted to confirm that Dylan will be our new Deputy Director. Dylan has an unequalled knowledge of the industry and the political structure in Wales and his knowledge will ensure that NFU Cymru goes forward from strength to strength."

Dylan Morgan was born and bred on the family farm near Llandovery and gained a BSc Honours degree in Agriculture from Aberystwyth University. Dylan joined NFU Cymru seven years ago as a Policy Research Adviser before becoming a Policy Adviser for the Union in November 2001. In April 2008 Dylan moved to the NFU Headquarters in Stoneleigh to take up the role of Chief Livestock Adviser.

Commenting on his new appointment, Dylan Morgan said, "I am extremely delighted to return to my roots in Wales. My time and experiences with the NFU Cymru to date have given me a wide ranging knowledge of various agricultural issues and I’m extremely proud to work for the most effective and respected agricultural lobbying organisation in the country."
