New Deputy Minister of Agriculture

Alana Koch is appointed by the new Sask Party government.

Koch (pronounced cook) has extensive experience with a number of farm organizations. For the past two years, she has been the Vice-President, and then the President of the Canadian Agri-Food Trade Alliance. CAFTA supports the elimination of tariffs and subsidies on agricultural products.

Koch was a former Director of Agricore United and served 8 years as the Executive Director of the Western Canadian Wheatgrowers Association. She and her family own and operate a grain farm at Edenwold, SK.
