LELY (UK) LTD is strengthening their range of grassland related products by marketing the SGARIBOLDI horizontal, vertical and self-propelled range of diet feeders into the UK.
SGARIBOLDI is a well respected family business who, for over 30 years, has been actively improving animal health with the development, specialised production and constant improvement of diet feeding systems. Several LELY companies within Europe have already been successfully promoting this product for a number of years, and prior to today¹s launch, LELY (UK) teams have carried out their own extensive UK farm trials. These evaluations and results have been very impressive.
TWIN FLOW horizontal system
What makes the SGARIBOLDI machines stand out over other diet feeders is its opposing single spiral screen feeding system. The auger edges have an extraordinary cutting and mixing capacity. Large opposing spirals ensure motion within the chamber of two rotating flows that permit the mix to combine in a single process.
The differential volume mixing tank allows materials to flow from the front and back of the chamber at different rates towards the centre. A large paddle sweeping across the central mix area ensures utmost mixing quality. Heavy silage bales, dense straw bales, molasses, maize, tubers and cereals are all equally chopped and mixed to provide a nutritious diet after only a short period of activity.
An electronic weighing system ensures that the balance of nutrients is applied in the required proportion. Once correctly mixed, an hydraulically driven unloading elevator delivers the mix into the animals¹ feed trough.
>From LELY UK¹s own tests, when using 3 round bales of straw and silage - chopped and unchopped - each weighing up to 750 kg out of a WELGER baler, these bales were evenly mixed and chopped in approx. 20 minutes.
Vertical models
These diet feeders have a central, two speed chopping auger with serrated knifes which pull the materials down towards the bottom of the hopper whilst thoroughly mixing the ingredients.
Adjustable baffles positioned on the sides of the hopper regulate the flow of material around the hopper whilst chopping and mixing proceeds at different rates with straw, silage, hay and whole crop which are all equally and quickly chopped and mixed into a readily digestible diet.
These machines also have electronic weigh meters to ensure the correct balance of nutrients. An hydraulically driven belt unloading unit can be operated either side of the feeder for dual passageway barns.
Self-propelled unit
The versatile MONOCOMBI 3000 has been developed for higher outputs and may appeal to contractors moving into a new business venture of animal management. The MONOCOMBI fulfills the entire operation of cutting from a clamp, loading, mixing and feeding. This machine will also break up and load bales of silage, straw and hay with relative ease.
The TWIN FLOW of mixing characteristics and knife configuration produces a perfect balanced and fluffy mixture - identical to that system used in the horizontal MONOFEEDER. A dramatic reduction in working time whilst optimizing feed quality can be expected.
