New disinfectant effective despite organic matter
New disinfectant effective despite organic matter
TAD CID, a new broad-spectrum general-purpose disinfectant from EuroVet Applications Ltd, offers several advantages to livestock producers. It is claimed to be effective in 'real farm' situations where lots of organic matter is present, and at low temperatures just above freezing point.
It is ideal for cleaning all types of animal housing and surfaces, particularly on intensive pig and poultry units. Since it is non-corrosive and non-staining at the recommended dilution rates, it can be used for decontaminating equipment and vehicles.
TAD CID has been approved by Defra under their General Orders category, and for foot-and-mouth disease and diseases of poultry. It has also been independently tested and proven to be effective against all major bacterial viral and fungal diseases of livestock and poultry.
It can be applied using high-pressure spraying equipment, knapsack sprayers and used in foot and vehicle dips.
Available in 1 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg canisters, it is distributed in the UK through Hatchery Healthcare Ltd, Fauls Green, Whitchurch, Shropshire, and costs from £6.9 per kg.
