New parallel linkage saves wear and tear
The problem with most trailed high-horsepower implements is that they need to be pulled via a towing eye. When in transport, or turning on the headland, the towing eye inevitably needs to change angle - putting it in a position where it wears either the eye or the tractor, possibly also bending the drawbar pin.
Yorkshire-based machinery manufacturers, Sumo have designed their way around the problem with an innovative parallel linkage: the Level-Hitch, which keeps the towing eye level even when turning on the packer.
To be fitted as standard on all new Sumo trailed machines, the Level-Hitch enables machines and drawbars to be lifted higher, while protecting the tractor. As part of the design, should it be worn, the towing eye can be easily replaced via removal of a single bolt.
