New product manager at John Deere Limited
Following Jonathan Henry’s appointment on May 1 as product manager for harvesting equipment at John Deere Limited, the company has now announced the appointment of James Ashworth as product manager for green crop harvesting products (ie self propelled forage harvesters, balers and mower conditioners), as well as national fleet accounts.
Jonathan Henry will now be responsible for combine harvesters while also continuing his role as agricultural management solutions (AMS) product manager. James Ashworth’s appointment is effective from June 1, 2003.
James initially joined John Deere in 1995 on a student placement from Harper Adams University College, graduating the following year with a BSc (Hons) in agricultural engineering with marketing & management.
He then returned to John Deere full time as a sales demonstrator/instructor (SDI) for the agricultural division and was promoted to the position of pricing & statistics analyst in October 1996, becoming credit supervisor in June 1998. James has been territory manager for the West Midlands and Wales, looking after a network of 13 John Deere dealer branches, since January 2000.
