New treasurer Jane returns to farming roots
AN OWMBY by Spital businesswoman from a well known Louth farming family is the new treasurer of the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society.
Jane Hiles (pictured) is a former chairman of Halifax Estate Agencies, a subsidiary of HBOS plc, and has worked all over the country.
She took early retirement last year and has now taken up the voluntary post for the society, replacing John Lockwood.
Her family farms more than 900 acres at Northfield Farm and Agarth Farm in Louth. Mrs Hiles, who lives in Owmby by Spital, is delighted the new role gives her a chance to return to her 'farming roots'.
