An extensive Product Tasting Road Show in major supermarket stores throughout Wales is providing consumers with an opportunity to taste the new Cadog range of dairy products as well as to familiarise themselves with the new branding and packaging – and local farmers are lending a hand !
The new Welsh dairy brand, Cadog, includes award-winning butter, butter portions, canned products - creamy custard, luxury rice and evaporated milk (all formerly branded as Llangadog), as well as medium, mature and vintage cheese and fresh milk. The quality products are produced at three creameries in Wales - luxury canned products and butter at Llangadog, South Wales, the range of cheddar cheeses at Llandyrnog, North Wales and fresh milk at Cardiff.
Michael Morgans for Cadog commented: 'The tasting sessions have been a great success resulting in a dramatic increase in sales. Consumers loyal to the original Llangadog brand have also appreciated the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the new branding which has been an astounding success. The new packaging is stylish, distinctive and fully bilingual and obviously meets the needs of Welsh consumers.'
Local farmer Mr Howard Roberts of Wern farm, and one of Cadog's milk suppliers added: 'I really appreciated the opportunity to meet consumers and was delighted to experience such a positive response to the products from customers of all ages. The very favourable comments regarding taste, texture and packaging was most encouraging.'
