NFU at FiT for Farming Event
NFU Cymru will be attending this month’s FiT for Farming event ’ a one-stop shop for farmers and landowners planning renewable projects ’ taking place on the Royal Welsh Showground.
The Feed-in Tariff (FiT) scheme and the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) mean landowners who invest in renewable energy technologies can claim attractive payments for the electricity and heat that they generate. For those with busy work schedules, however, it can be difficult to commit the necessary time to assess the opportunities. The FiT for Farming event will provide a time-efficient opportunity for anyone planning a renewable project to get more information.
NFU Cymru will be launching a new Farm Energy Service in February and will use the FiT for Farming event on Thursday, 26 January, to explain more about the service to current and potential members. The aim of the service is to provide a complete renewable and energy efficiency service to reduce Welsh farmers’ environmental impact and help increase farm profits at the same time.
