NFU members to be given SAF guidance

NFU Cymru members in Brecon and Radnor will be given guidance on completing this year’s Single Application Form (SAF) by Rita Jones, Head of Farm Liaison Service with the Welsh Government, at their next county meeting on Monday, 23 April 2012.

The meeting, starting at 7.30pm, will be held at the NFU Cymru Headquarters, on the Royal Welsh Showground, Builth Wells and will be open to all NFU Cymru members.

Rita Jones will provide guidance to farmers on completing this year’s SAF form which enables them to claim Single Farm Payment, transition payments for existing agri-environment schemes, the organic farming scheme and express an interest for Glastir from 2014 onwards.

Glasnant Morgan, NFU Cymru County Chairman for Brecon and Radnor said, "This presents an ideal opportunity for members to find out about the changes on the 2012 SAF form and how these changes might affect applicants.

"I hope we will get a good turnout of local NFU Cymru members. Please also encourage your friends and neighbours to come along."
