No cattle sheds, dairies within Kharar MC limits

If you are a Kharar resident and bugged by the smell of dung and noises emanating from a neighbourhood cattle shed-cumdairy , it is time to heave a sigh of relief.

Acknowledging the health and sanitation hazards involved , the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday directed the municipal council, Kharar, to ensure that no such sheds and dairies in the vicinity of residential areas were allowed to operate within its limits.

The order comes in the wake of a rather desperate plea by Baljit Singh, a resident of Mundi Kharar, Kharar tehsil, Mohali district, who sought HC help after being hassled by a dairy and cattleshed right behind his house.
