Nuffield farm opens its gates
ONE of the most diverse farm businesses in North Wales is to host an open day outlining the benefits of Nuffield travel scholarships.
Nia Parry, of Fferm Afonwen, Pwllheli, was awarded her Nuffield Scholarship in 2002 and says it changed her approach to business.
With husband Arthur, she runs a farm tourism business which includes pony trekking, holiday cottages, education unit and aqua-culture business.
She said: "When I did my scholarship I found that travelling and meeting new people was as much part of the experience as learning about the agricultural aspects.
"We have a lot of Welsh scholars, all from different agricultural backgrounds, but one thing they have in common is that they are keen to broaden their horizons."
