BRAZILIAN BEEF.

The Presidential Anti Smuggling Group in Manila, discovered large quantities of Brazilian beef and chicken, during a raid on three cold stores in the city on Thursday.

The cold storage facilities, are owned by Solvier Trading, which is a company owned by well known meat trader Wilson Ho.

Mr Ho was not present at the raids, the police have issued a warrant for his arrest.

There are apparently no records, import papers or health certificates for the meat.

Brazilian authorities are assisting the Philippine authorities in tracing the origin of the meat, it is believed the meat was illegally re-shipped from Vietnam, where there are 2,000 tons of meat held up by customs in port.
