BOOM IN HALAL INDUSTRY.

The Philippines were very prominent at the World Halal Expo in Dubai lat November and exports to the Middle East of Halal products are booming.

Products ranging from fresh mango, processed mango, flavored milk drinks, various sauces, ice cream, bottled drinks, canned meat, coconut milk, coconut cream, bath soaps, processed meat, pastries, shrimp, halal certified noodles, various dressings and condiments.

The Department of Trade and Industry announced last week the Halal accreditation for the main meat plant in the country
