When Poland joined the European Union many were skeptical of the large number of new farmers this would add to the EU, as Poland boated nearly as many farmers as the whole EU put together, albeit very small farms and small holdings.

With 15 billion euros is grand and subsidy assistance in the last four years from the EU, Poland has built up a vibrant farming sector and blossoming meat industry.

There are now 33,000 meat processing companies in the country, as the meat consumption has risen by 25 %, since Poland joined into Europe.

The economy is vibrant and the exports of pork meat, has become one a the leading brands on the global market today.

Meat exports jumped by 34% in the first four months of 2008, as Poland has integrated into the European way of life.
