Rain-led recovery in livestock markets
Producers of young cattle and lambs have been the big winners out of this week's widespread rainfall.
The eastern young cattle indicator has bounced back from a mid-October low, up nine cents a kilo to $293.75.
In Victoria and South Australia, where rain was heaviest, yearling steer prices are up nearly 20 cents a kilo.
Nationally, sheep and lamb prices are up by 20 to 30 cents a kilo.
