Recognition for long term commitment

Four members of staff at Anglia Farmers have received long service awards covering 10, 25 and 30 years of continuous employment.

Business development manager David Moar has been on board for 30 years having joined Anglia Farmers predecessor Loddon Farmers in 1980 as purchasing and member liaison officer. David spends much of his time out of the office visiting members and is well-known to many.

Not far behind him is Judy Baldwin (25 years service) who joined David at Loddon Farmers in 1985 as assistant accountant. Today Judy is accounts manager for Anglia Famers and administers accounts for the Eastern Machinery Ring.

Receiving awards for ten years’ service, IT & administration manager Barry Crossan and accounts assistant Anne Clark both joined Loddon Farmers in June 2000 respectively as purchasing officer and invoice clerk.

Chairman George Bell said: "Anglia Farmers inherited these loyal people. There are others too who have reached say 17 years of service and will be recognised when they reach the relevant increment within the award scheme. The commitment that each of these people has shown to the group is phenomenal. Their hard work and dedication certainly deserves recognition and I know our members join me in our gratitude to each and every one of them as well as the rest of the team which pulls out all the stops to be the best agricultural purchasing group in the UK."
