Robinson Agriculture makes strong start to 2011

Robinson Agriculture, the UK’s largest manufacturer of steel-fabricated agricultural buildings, has made a strong start to 2011.

Over the past four months, the company has secured new contracts totalling £12.5 million.

Within its agricultural division, key new contracts awarded this year include a £170,000 project to build a grain store for F G Battle & Sons at Potterhanworth, near Lincoln, Lincolnshire; a £220,000 new hay barn and storage complex for Chappell Farms in Brigg, North Lincolnshire;

a £215,000 contract for a grain store at Hargrave, Northamptonshire for Hargrave Farming Limited; and a £144,000 contract for DJ Fisher Farms Ltd at Asheldham Hall Farm, Althorne, near South Woodham Ferrers in Essex.

"Despite the downturn, we continue to win work, particularly from clients looking to extend their storage facilities against the background of the continuing rise in cereals prices." says Robinson managing director Mike Newton. "As farming sector specialists, Robinson draws on 50 years’ experience in the manufacture of agricultural buildings and the ability to offer clients a complete range of project services from supplying kit-form buildings to providing a full turnkey construction solution offering end-to-end project delivery including planning assistance."
