MEAT PLANT EXPANDS.
While several meat plants have closed the doors in recent weeks, over the financial crisis the plant of Kemerovsky, has increased production to 50 tons of processed meat per week.
The company is now selling pr-packed retail packages, in many major retail stores in the country, mainly sausage and salami.
Russia devalued the rouble again on Monday, as they faces the biggest economic challenge in the last decade. The central bank began a gradual devaluation in November, in response to slumping oil prices and a weakening economy.
There have been 15 cattle breeding complexes built in the Perm Territory in 2008, holding around 4,000 head of cattle. This is part of the governments push to improve the dairy herd with Holstein stock, imported from Australia, Holland and Germany.
