Dagestan with its rich source of raw materials has got only 2 meat-processing factories, one in Kizlyar, and a greater one in Makhachkala. 220 employees work at the enterprise to provide a rich meat production assortment, Shamil Magomedov, Director of Makhachkala Meat-Packing Factory said to RIA Dagestan correspondent.

"Other factories use mainly meat substitutes, colorants, and long-lived packed meat. We process only fresh meat 3 months old maximum. Nevertheless, we can hardly compete with other factories not because of our products quality, but because of its novelty to common consumers. Still, we have several customers and wholesalers. Our production is in demand in Karachaevo-Cherkessia, Grozny, Nalchik, Astrakhan, and Stavropol region" - Magomedov pointed out.

The factory gets ecologically clean production. The outcome products undergo a daily analysis at a special laboratory attached to the factory before it is offered for sale. Shamil Magomedov asserted that today the factory provides about 19 sorts of meat and sausage products.
