RUSSIA-NEW MEAT DISTRIBUTION PLANT.

In April 2009, the poultry farm Kazanskaya is to put into operation a new closed-cycle production facility. The principal capacities occupy 6,400 square metres and the slaughter facility with carcass cutting and chilling about 2,000 square metres. The enterprise is annually to process up to 40,000 tons of poultry meat. According to Director of the poultry farm Kazanskaya, Rishat Khismatullin, 42 tons of products are to be put out per shift. The cost of the project totaled over RUR 600mn (US$ 19.33mn EUR 14.4mn). The expected payback period is to take four years. Additional expenses may be needed. The Ministry of Agriculture of Tatarstan and the bank Ak Bars are ready to provide funds for the project (RUR 3.5bn). The enterprise is to turn out products from poultry meat as well as from mixed meat, including cutlets, meat balls, pelmeni (dumplings with meat filling), boiled, smoked and uncooked smoked sausage, and delicatessen. Own raw materials will be processed, poultry meat, pork, beef, and horse meat. The poultry farm has about 200 own stores for distribution of ready-made products. The enterprise is to supply its products to the market of Tatarstan and other regions of Russia.
