RUSSIA-TIGHTER IMPORT RESTRICTIONS.
Primorye Territory: Meat Imported from 29 Plants to Be Inspected by Rosselkhoznadzor

Tight veterinary laboratory control over products supplied from 29 foreign meat plants from 11 countries (10 Brazilian enterprises, 6 German plants, 2 Dutch, 2 Spanish, 2 Argentinean and 2 US enterprises etc.) has been introduced.
In a view of detection of agents of dangerous catching diseases (salmonellosis, listeriosis, as well as E.coli bacteria), Federal Agency for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) tighten control over imported meat products.
Pursuant to the officials’ information, sampling in terms of the tight laboratory control over products supplied to the Russian Federation from the said plants will be effected within three months. In case of redetection of forbidden substances in supplied products, Rosselkhoznadzor would impose temporary restrictions on supply of goods from the aforementioned enterprises to Russia.
