Russian Poultry imports up

Poultry imports in Russia were 671,300 tons for the first 7 months of 2008, with a value of US$674.9 million.

This is an increase of 18.5 % on the imports in 2007.

Russia imported 885,400 tons of pork and beef for the same period valued at US$2.5 billion, compared to 756,200 tons for the same period last year valued at US$1.8 billion.
