SOTLAND-AYRSHIRE CATTLE SEMEN.

A GROWING demand for Ayrshire semen has been reported by Cattle Services (Ayr) Ltd, the marketing arm of the Ayrshire Cattle Society, who saw an increase in sales of 18% in 2008, compared to the previous year.

The breed in becoming popular again for many reasons, while indeed it produces less milk than the Holstein, you have a nice carcass to sell when its dairy days are over.

They are a hardy breed and eat a lot less than their European cousins.
