Lockerbie store cattle

ON TUESDAY, Harrison and Hetherington, Lockerbie held their fortnightly sale of store cattle, 455 head of cattle were sold.
Topping the sale at £1120 for Limousin heifers from Breconside Farming Co, Moffat and to a top of 205.9ppk for seven Charolais heifers from Messrs WJ Irving & Co of Burnside, Dalbeattie.
Bullocks sold to £1090 for a Charolais from Messrs H&M Connell, Minscar, Waterbeck and to 209.1ppk for three Simmentals from Firm of R Howatson, Hall Meadow. More cattle required to suit buyers demand.
