SCOTLAND-SALMON FACTORY EXPANDS.

GRIEG Seafood Hjaltland yesterday officially opened the £4.2 million extension to its processing plant on Shetland.

The new facility – which is expected to create 70 new jobs – allows the company to produce 12,000kg of smoked and marinated salmon a day. The extension includes six smoke houses, an automated salting line and four slicing lines.
