Original cereal seed is produced from seed stocks which are selected for high germination and vigour to maximise their genetic potential, then coated with advanced Seed Film Coating technology which ensures that treatments are applied accurately, thus enhancing germination and vigour. SFC technology also improves seed flow, allowing more accurate drilling, the correct plant population and even establishment, while a Growth Promoting Agent (GPA) enhances crop establishment and yields.
Nickerson Direct’s wide range of maize varieties come from the enormously successful Limagrain Genetics (LG) programmes in Europe and are selected specifically in the largest trialling and selection programme in the UK for optimum performance under UK conditions.
