Spraycare has added a new mounted model to its range of sprayers aimed at the smaller farmer. It fills the gap between the economy range with a manual boom and the larger 1200 litre 12/24-metre boom range, according to the Woodhall Spa manufacturer and will be launched at LAMMA 2004.
The compact, easy-to-use machine has a 1000 litre fibreglass tank and 12 metre-16 metre single stage hydraulic boom with hydraulic lift, 136 litre 3 cylinder diaphragm pump and three-quarter section electric controls with in-cab pressure control. There is a 100-litre clean water rinse tank with rinsing nozzle and triplet nozzle bodies.
Standard features include road lights, protective clothing locker, 20-litre fibreglass chemical hopper, with rinsing ring and can wash. All manual functions are operated by two 4-way ball valves situated near to the chemical hopper behind a fibreglass panel, which details full instructions for the operator.
"Although the market trend is inclined towards larger capacity sprayers, there is still a niche for a small well built hydraulic mounted sprayer for the specialist grower and small farmer," said Gary Avison, managing director of Spraycare.
