Society honours farming stalwarts

A hill farmer from Keswick and a Cumbrian NFU group secretary have had their services to agriculture recognised by the Royal Agricultural Society.

The NFU's uplands spokesman, Will Cockbain, of Rakefoot Farm in Keswick has been made an associate of the society.

And after five years as an associate, Carlisle's senior NFU group secretary, Nick Utting, has been made a fellow – the organisation's most prestigious honour.
