FISHING AGREEMENT.

Uruguay and South Korea, are to enter into a new agreement on the development of marine resources, it was announced in Montevideo.

The deal that was signed in Seoul in October, on the visit of President Tabare of Uruguay. to South Korea . The two countries plan to share information and knowledge in regard to the fishing industry and fish farming.

This will include the artificial cultivation of fish and the latest technology.

The port of Montevideo, will be opened up for Korean fishing vessels to visit, for the purpose of unloading catches and re-fueling.


Deep sea fishing fleets from South Korea, fish extensively in the South Atlantic fishing grounds.

Fish from Uruguay is now allowed back into the European Union, after the ban imposed in February of 2008 was recently lifted
