SOUTH KOREA- PROBLEMS IN PORK.
Food safety officials in Seoul say they have found excessive amount of a synthetic antibiotic in frozen pork imports from Spain.
Officials at the National Veterinary Research and Quarantine Service say they have examined 23 tons of pork and detected up to seven times more than the acceptable limit of enrofloxacin.
Officials have already banned the imports from the Spanish meat packing plant which processed the tainted pork and have asked Spanish authorities for an investigation.
As for the meat already in Korea, authorities plan to take appropriate measures after more tests.
