South Korea-US Beef imports gaining ground.
SOUTH KOREA-US BEEF IMPORTS GAINING GROUND.
Imports of American beef appear to be regaining ground after two months of decline. New figures by Korea Agricultural Trade Information show shipments of U.S. beef cuts to Korea rose more than 2 percent last month to reach some 5,054 tons, as against December’s 4,933 tons.
In November and December, imports fell about 20 percent month-on-month.
Korea re-opened its doors to American beef last July and imports rose steadily until October, when the volume hit 7,775 tons.
