The beef industry has an agenda that almost defies logic

Well I am just getting back into action again now after having further surgery on my shoulder. A little hitch developed which was no reflection on the first operation, but which was responsible for considerable pain and movement restriction, and therefore necessitated another procedure.

This time, however, we took a week’s holiday in Killarney to rest and recuperate while Sean took over the running of the out farm, helped by our friend Tom. This time I definitely feel the benefit of the week’s rest and the out farm has benefited from Sean’s youth and energy as he set about tackling some overdue jobs and tidying. The lads at home also pitched in with the extra work, all of which I appreciate as they made it easy for me to take time out to recover.
