In the spirit of the Great British Bake Off 2015, Trewithen Dairy is all set to launch its brand new, deliciously summery Buttery Baking campaign in time for the fervour that will arise from the nation’s cherished baking show. Trewithen has teamed up with a local home baker who has created four mouth-watering sweet and savoury recipes that each feature Trewithen’s products as well as other tasty Cornish goodies.

This exciting new baking adventure will allow home bakers across the country to take inspiration from Trewithen Dairy’s exclusive ‘Buttery Baking’ menu, and is guaranteed to have you whipping something up in time for summer. From a delicious strawberry and pistachio cake to salmon and dill muffins, the simple and accessible recipes have each been designed and perfected by avid home baker, Sarah Hemsley, who is adamant that Trewithen dairy products are the reason that her culinary creations are so scrumptious. Sarah’s passion and talent for baking has previously been noticed, with a feature in the inspirational Clandestine Cake Club cookbook.

This is the first year that Trewithen has run this Buttery Baking menu concept, following the success of its annual Clotted Christmas campaign which launched in 2012. The Buttery Baking campaign will be the same concept, involving the creation of pocket-sized booklets containing recipes suitable for all budding bakers which are distributed across the south west to Trewithen customers and anyone who requests one. If you loved the Clotted Christmas recipes, then rest assured the buttery baking menu will get those taste buds tingling just as much.

The Buttery Baking dishes include:

- Pistachio and strawberry celebration cake

- Coconut profiteroles with chocolate sauce

- Salmon and dill muffins

- Cornish seaweed biscuits

All made with Trewithen Dairy goodness and your favourite local Cornish produce.

Buttery Baking chef, Sarah Hemsley says, “We are really fortunate to have so many fabulous food suppliers here in Cornwall. Trewithen butter and spreadable work brilliantly in baking, adding an amazing Cornish buttery flavour. The spreadable is perfect for cake baking and icing as you can cream it with the sugar really easily. When you are making the biscuits it is important to use really cold butter so it doesn't melt too quickly when you roll them.”

Sarah continued, “I absolutely loved taking part in this fabulous Buttery Baking campaign as it is very close to my heart. I love baking, it’s so much fun and I hope my recipes inspire others to get mucky in the kitchen!”

Trewithen Dairy’s, Francis Clarke says, “We’re really excited about this fresh new idea which will be wolfed down by little ones and adored by your summer guests and that’s what the campaign is all about; real, fun and accessible home baking.”

Francis continues, “Whether you’re having lunch in the garden or a picnic on the beach, we hope we’ve inspired you to get stuck in with some Buttery Baking recipes. Happy Baking!”
