BOMFORD Ltd will be exhibiting two new machines on its stand (no F261) at the Royal Show. In all the Salford Priors based company will be displaying 10 machines from its extensive range of British built products.
WREN hedgecutter
The new Bomford Wren hedgecutter is designed specifically for landscape and estate maintenance, such as cutting ornamental hedges or estate road verge mowing.
For use on compact or small tractors of at least 15hp, the Wren is available with a reach of 2.7m or 3.1m. The Wren can be fitted with either a 0.8m, 72 flail cutting head capable of cutting material up to 85mm diameter, but where a clipped finish is required, such as for an ornamental hedge, a 1.5m cutter bar is available.
Carried on the tractor's three-point linkage, the Wren incorporates many features found on large Bomford hedgecutters. Drive to the head is via twin hydraulic pumps and the hydraulics are controlled using cab-mounted low-friction cable controls.
Prices for the Bomford Wren are £6,167 for the 2.7m reach machine or £6,622 for the 3.1m machine, both with standard flail head and including oil.
Turbo Pro
The new Bomford Turbo Pro heavy duty flail mower is capable of handling a wide range of material from playing field and verge mowing through to scrub clearance and bramble clearance.
The Turbo Pro is available in working widths of 2.7m and 3.0m, and features a hydraulic offset facility. Requiring a minimum of 75hp or 98hp depending on width, power from the PTO driven gearbox is transferred to the flail rotor shaft via a belt pulley system.
Both machines are fitted with whale type flails capable of handling the toughest of material. Where a fine finish is required the rear flap can closed down so that cut material is more thoroughly shredded to reduce the amount of cut material deposited and help meet the new DEFRA Regulations. In its raised position, cut material is guickly cleared which enables higher outputs to be maintained.
