UK pig farmers demand higher bacon prices
Australian pig farmers are not the only ones struggling to cope with high feed prices and cheap imports.
In the United Kingdom, pig farmers say they are losing 26 pounds on every pig they raise.
A survey of producers shows 95 per cent are looking to get out of the industry.
Barney Kay from the UK's National Pig Association says shoppers are being asked to pay an extra 20 pence for a packet of bacon, so farmers can compete with Danish imports.
