UK registrations of agricultural tractors slowed down in February, relative to the same month last year, new figures show.

According to new figures by the Agricultural Engineers Association (AEA), 584 tractors were registered in February.

This is a -5.8 percent change compared to February 2017.

The number registered represents the lowest monthly total since December 2016.

Nevertheless, the monthly total was still higher than in February 2016, following good growth this time last year.

The number of tractors registered in the first two months of the year remained 2% higher than a year before.

The figures follow figures showing registrations of tractors in the UK more than doubled in December 2017, reaching 1,360 units, compared to the same period in 2016.
