UKRAINE-CATTLE NUMBERS.

The number of cattle in Ukraine on March 1 totaled 5.348 million, a fall of 6.4% on the year, the State Statistics Committee reported Wednesday. The total cattle number included 2.868 million cows, a fall of 7% compared with March 1 2008. The number of pigs in the country on the date totaled 6.683 million, 10.4% fewer than a year earlier.
