United Kingdom-College Open Day for lambing workshop.
UNITED KINGDOM-THE LAMBING SEASON.
Students and staff from the agricultural department at Duchy College, Stoke Climsland are busy organising their first free lambing event, to be held on Sunday, March 15.
It will be open to the public and has two sessions – 11am to 12.30pm, or 1.30pm to 3pm.
Visitors will have the opportunity to ride on a college tractor and trailer, talk to staff and students and hold new-born lambs.
Children will have the chance to enter a farm quiz and win a cuddly toy lamb.
Course manager Jeanette Elston said: "Lambing is an important part of farming and we want to open up the farm to visitors so they can see how students and staff work at this time of year
"It also provides a free event in the credit crunch to encourage people to engage with the local countryside and enjoy a fun day out for all the family."
Anyone who fancies donning their wellies and joining the Duchy College team up on the farm is welcome.
