United Kingdom-Devon farmer with new meat service.

UNITED KINGDOM.

FARM GATE TO PLATE.

The novel idea of former London banker turned Devon farmer Peter Bates, to slaughter his animals at a local abattoir and sell the meat direct to the public, delivered free of charge can only go one way and that is upwards.

Peter who owns and operates Partridge farm at Tiverton in Devon, can be found on www.partridgefarmdevon.co.uk, where you can read about his newly learned husbandry skills and traditional farming methods.

This is coupled with a unique style of marketing, direct to the public and delivered to his customers own home, at a convenient time to them.

Peter runs the farm with his daughter Emily, and runs large black pigs and Aberdeen Angus cattle. The animals are contented and contented animals make tender meat.

Most important is the ageing process of the meat, if meat is hung for at least a week it improves the eating quality, any time more than that is a bonus.
